Statement from legislator on 7/3/2018:

We need a policy change at the Federal level to make this 100% legal in Georgia. With that said, we better not let another Southeastern state beat us to be the first State in the southeast. Colorado is currently mailing checks to its citizens due to its position on marijuana. Georgia should continue to lead the southeast so as to ensure we reap the tax windfall that would come from legal cultivation.
