My life experiences have led me to my purposeful decision to run for State Representative in District 4. I have a passion for helping our community solve problems through professional and volunteer-based work, and strive to create a lasting benefit to District 4 and be a voice for all in Madison. I ask for your vote on or before November 3, 2020.
Candidate in race for State Assembly District 4
I am a deeply-rooted, Brown County native, raised in West De Pere. My husband Tim and I are proud parents of our three children; Madeline (28), Marie (24), and Michael (23). My father is a retired Journeyman Electrician and my mother was a homemaker. My civic and community engagement began early in life as an active 4-H member, competing every year at the Brown County Fair in gardening, sewing, and art. Through my community and family, I learned the value of hard work.
August 2020: When I first announced I was running for the State Assembly in D4 I indicated I wanted to do some research on the vote totals for legalizing medical marijuana.
I have since done that. I support legalizing medical marijuana and small amounts for recreation.
April 2020: The referendum 2 years ago confirmed the support for medical marijuana. I would support a bill recommending we move forward. I think at minimum this should be a discussion in the WI state Legislature on the fact we have states on 3 sides that have legalized. I am also looking for local voices on the issue, there are many upsides for treatment of medical conditions.
