B- Greg Walden (R - OR) DECRIMINALIZE MEDICAL USE

1/15/2020: Walden Remarks on Hearing on Cannabais Policies

Walden may not be the most out-right supporter of legalizing marijuana, but he is a proponent for opening up access to research. Walden holds a healthy level of skepticism towards many claims regarding marijuana, and instead of using the present lack of knowledge as a tool for upholding prohibition, he is advocating for more research to be done before heavier judgments are to be made. In order to do accomplish this, he advocates for easier access and diminished criminal restrictions surrounding the substance.

1/15/2020: Walden Remarks on Hearing on Cannabais Policies

Greg Walden says it makes sense for medical marijuana to be offered in the state.
"Oregon has weighed in pretty strongly in terms of medical marijuana. If you're private pay and going to your own doc, you could talk about it," Walden said. "But if you were going to your V.A. doc, you couldn't so we changed that."
