As of her run for city council in 2016, Fox operated her own law firm, the Fox Firm. She has served as president of the National Women's Political Caucus of California and on the Irvine Community Services Commission and the board of directors of the Beckman High School Football Boosters and Wrestling Boosters. She has also volunteered as a Sea Scouts leader and been a member of the Exchange Club of Irvine, the Irvine Chamber of Commerce, the Orange County Park Ranger Reserve, the Women Lawyers Association, and Women in Leadership
