B+ Ken Rozenboom (R - IA) MEDICAL USE

Holds office State Senate District 19

Comments

From an article in 2014 about approving medical marijuana for Iowa:

The group of 10 senators, five Republicans and five Democrats, includes Oskaloosa’s Ken Rozenboom. He said there’s a key difference between supporting study of an issue and supporting legislation to enact changes. He’s prepared to look at the evidence, but that’s as far as he’s willing to go at this point.

“I’m a skeptic,” he said. Rozenboom’s stance grew out of advocacy. “I have a very passionate constituent who has a child with a severe epileptic condition that believes we need to find a way to provide … cannabis derivates to treat her daughter and other people in the state for whom nothing else has worked,” he said. 3/21/24
