"Medical marijuana has a role in the prescribed treatment of certain ailments, such as cancer, seizure disorders, and ALS, and should be legal. While continued research is needed to fully understand marijuana's potential uses, benefits, and drawbacks, patients with serious illness and chronic pain should not be denied access to effective medical treatments that relieve their symptoms and suffering."
