Sen. Mike Azinger, R-Wood, said the effect of the bill was to pretend that marijuana was not a “big deal.”

“It is a big deal,” he said. “It is dangerous.”

Azinger called marijuana a gateway drug and said teenagers should not be encouraged to try cannabis.
