A Nancy Wallace (O - MD) LEGALIZE, TAX, AND REGULATE DECRIMINALIZE MEDICAL USE

"Marijuana should be legalized at the federal and state level. Responsible use by adults should be regulated only to the extent necessary to prevent harm to others and reliable purchasing decisions, so "you know what you're getting" with regards to THC, no additives, organic or non-organic, etc. Standard Uniform Commercial Code requirements for honesty in business transactions and financial accountability for fraudulent transactions must apply. I support taxing marijuana sales at the standard sales tax level without additional taxes or financial burdens. I support labeling the source of marijuana as to US or non-US production, to protect our residents against pesticides and other toxic chemicals which may be allowed in other countries. Safe, straightforward use of known-strength marijuana is a positive step forward for the US. It will also reduce the destruction of peace and democracy in other countries that are currently supplying the drug illegally. As governor, I will help all those damaged by this inexcusable mis-management of marijuana through decades of Republic and Democratic administrations, at the Maryland and federal levels."
