A Michael Mullin (D - VA) LEGALIZE, TAX, AND REGULATE DECRIMINALIZE MEDICAL USE

Virginia NORML has endorsed Delegate Mullin.

Holds office State House District 93

Candidate in race for State House District 93 on Tuesday, November 2, 2021

Position on Marijuana Legalization

The full legalization of cannabis is long overdue in Virginia. We have seen states like Colorado and Michigan to overarching benefits of not only legalizing cannabis, but regulating it as well. I fully support the legalization and regulation of cannabis use by adults.

During this past session I worked closely with NORML and other stakeholders as a conference committee member drafting the bill that legalized marijuana. In particular, I drafted or helped draft the sections related to juvenile education and driving under the influence.

I support automatically expunging records related to non-violent marijuana possession charges. I worked on legislation de-criminalizing small possession of marijuana and I will work just as hard to make sure non-violent marijuana related charges are expunged.

Position on Marijuana Decriminalization

I support the decriminalization of simple possession of marijuana.

Position on Medical Marijuana

I fully support expanding Virginia's medical cannabis program. The science is clear and since it helps so many people, we should be actively working to expand it.

Co-sponsored Legislation

HB 1720 Public elementary & secondary school students; suspension & expulsion, cannabidiol oil and THC-A oil.
