"I am a supporter of legalizing marijuana for recreational and medical use. Science has shown the benefits and relative safety of marijuana. It also is a legal issue that impacts minorities disproportionately."

Position on Marijuana Legalization

"I am a supporter of legalizing marijuana for recreational and medical use.  Science has shown the benefits and relative safety of marijuana. It also is a legal issue that impacts minorities disproportionately."

"We must have testing developed to insure that motor vehicles and work safety guidelines are strictly adhered to.

I would be opposed to recreational use for those under 21. Medical at any age as prescribed by a doctor.

I would want to incentivize small growers and dispensaries to promote small business growth and development. And i want the pathway to become a grower/dispenser to be financially viable to the working class. The application fees price small business out of the markets.

I know that some strains must be labeled due to potency and we MUST account for that!

We must be sure that this is not yet another misused product that is inappropriate for children or to be used in a household or vehicle or even in outdoor space where children could be exposed.

Non violent marijuana crimes must be stricken from a persons criminal record and anyone imprisoned for the same must be summarily released. I would not favor restitution as laws were followed at the time of conviction. Minorities are again disproportionately effected by our antiquated laws.

So there is much to consider, but know that I think the legalization process is long over due. I have studied multiple states models and I know this is viable."

Position on Marijuana Decriminalization

"Yes, we need permanent decriminalization and as part of that law, expungement, release from jail, but no to restitution as that was the law of the land at the time. It would be enforced through the bill as written and passed. I believe marijuana is often used for racial profiling. So this would serve multiple benefits to our community and State."

Position on Medical Marijuana
