Josh Calloway, an Irvington resident and father of five, said any product that alters the thinking processes should not be available for recreational use. As Kentucky combats wide-ranging opioid abuse, he considered introduction of legal marijuana sales as irresponsible, despite justification as a means to generate tax money.

“I’m looking for responsible ways to drive revenue,” he said.
