Responded to a constituent inquiry: " I support legalization of marijuana for medical and recreational use. On top of what you’ve said regarding the myth that marijuana is a ‘gateway drug’, research has shown it is less harmful than every other criminalized drug, and even less harmful to us than alcohol. I also support measures that would prevent current major corporations from immediately buying into and dominating the market: the marijuana industry deserves to have a natural start where entrepreneurs from across the state (and country!) are allowed to try their hand at the business without being immediately overtaken by monopolistic interests."
