Responded to a constituent inquiry that marijuana legalization is "not something I spend much time pondering. I am not concerned with it for the most part any more than alcohol consumption. Unfortunately, the taxes collected have only amounted to 25% of the predicted values, so most of the sales are still going to illicit drug dealers. That only feeds the organized crime world, which is not good. If it is to be legalized, then it must go through legal channels."
