Rob Anderson (D - LA)
"Rob views marijuana deregulation as a source of economic growth for Louisiana, a means to reduce our prison population, and a step in the right direction to reducing the disparate treatment of minorities by the criminal justice system. I support decriminalizing cannabis because I don’t think locking someone up and preventing them from earning a living and providing for their #family is acceptable. We have to reduce barriers for #workers. Marijuana criminalization is contrary to that goal! Link
Rob Supports Louisiana HB 276, The Ending Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2017, and The Respect State Marijuana Laws Act of 2017.
"Rob supports legalizing marijuana and would support a path to release for those incarcerated; however, most people incarcerated for a marijuana related offense were convicted under state law. The individual states would have to enact reforms to release them." 2018
