He added "YES - The cannabis plant has several proven medical uses. Cannabidiol for example is used to treat childhood epilepsy with great sucess, with an FDA approved version now on the market. The opportunity for our farmers to have access to a medicine producing cash crop would certainly be a boon to our Rural communities."
