Biography

I attended Raymond Elementary School, Union Grove High School before getting my degree at the University of Minnesota in Agricultural and Food Business Management with a Minor in Business Law. During my time as a student I had the honor of interning at the Minnesota State Senate where I saw how government worked first-hand.

As a proud resident of the 62nd District my entire life, there would be no greater honor than to serve my fellow citizens. I truly care about my constituents and value their ideas and concerns on how to make our state better. In our current political climate, it is important to reach across party lines to create an effective government that works for the people. I look forward to working with my fellow assemblymen and women in order to to put Wisconsinites first.

Position on Marijuana Legalization

I am completely for legalizing and regulating the responsible use of marijuana. I have seen the direct effects that the war on drugs has had on our country. With legalized recreational marijuana, our state would be able to earn revenue accrued from the taxes while spending less money on law enforcement. This would also help reduce our prison population. It is absurd that some of our neighboring states have legal recreational marijuana, while here we are still enforcing a policy that has taken a toll on millions of citizens. - Candidate Questionnaire 2020 Complete

Position on Marijuana Decriminalization

The State of Wisconsin’s prison population has risen tremendously in the last few decades. Decriminalizing the possession of marijuana would help reduce the prison population along with decreasing the budget allocated for prisons.

I support automatic expungement of non-violent marijuana possession convictions. - Candidate Questionnaire 2020 Complete

Position on Medical Marijuana

Millions of Americans that are suffering right now should be able to have access to legal medical marijuana to help with their pain. If hospitals are able to prescribe highly addictive pain killers to patients, they should also be able to provide a natural medicine, such as marijuana. - Candidate Questionnaire 2020 Complete
