Supports reducing penalty for possession to civil fine. YES with the note "It is my hope and desire that we benchmark what
the Governor of Maryland has done in addressing this issue. I will seek and/or support legislation that supports this effort in
restoring lives of those with these minor offenses. It’s simply the right thing to do as we know many of these offenders are those from
stressed underserved communities and are often folks of color that are faced with these inequities and harsher penalties.

of lives are impacted and could address and support many citizens that are stricken the chronic health issues. It is my hope and
my mission to have this legislation revisited with a successful passage in the upcoming Session."
