I grew up with parents who were addicts and distributors of hard & soft narcotics, family who was in and out of jail for possession, and I have people I love who are still in the cycle. Cannabis is helpful in them escaping addiction and coping with the physical and mental aftermath of years of use. I have friends who I served with who live in states that have legalized medical and recreational use, and they function better without being dependent on prescription pills.
