Response to 2024 NC Family Voter question Should the N.C. General Assembly legalize the use of marijuana for medical purposes? NO With the note: "In addition to the burden pot legallization has placed on public safety, we now have studies that show the health effects of weed which include a significant risk of lung cancer, psychosis, and depression. I am not convinced that medical marijuana's purported benefits justify the ill effects. Cancer is a horrible disease - I personally know people who have battled it, but it is not in the best interest of North Carolina to legalize medical marijuana."
