Position on Marijuana Legalization

When asked to provide a position on legalization, Dr. White stated, "Marijuana should be regulated by benign state rules that govern usage, venues, and areas of public usage. Regarding federal and state prohibitions of cannabis, Dr. White noted, "the Federal and State Laws that convict Americans of marijuana usage are archaic and useless. They are merely weaponized laws isolate, polarize, and control targeted members and groups of our society." (Candidate Survey Response)

Dr. White is purportedly in favor of expungements for non-violent marijuana possession crimes, writing, "Millions of Floridians who have been arrested and found innocent or convicted of minor charges like nonviolent marijuana possession have had their lives destroyed by not having those cases expunged or sealed. Many times victims of such treatment are forced to pay unfair prices to lawyers to have such cases eradicated. In this light automatic expungement of nonviolent marijuana cases should be the rule of law." (Candidate Survey Response)
