Candidate in race for State Assembly District 63 on Tuesday, June 24, 2025
"I have been a pro marijuana supporter since 2001 and even marched in Nashville in early 2000s for reform and have publicly supported reform all my life." (candidate survey response)
"I think it should be completely legal for all adults and all people currently in prison for it or with a bad record for should be released and their records expunged. Now more than ever with the rise of hard drugs we need it as an alternative and for medicinal reasons as well. But prohibition must end immediately and it was only done after alcohol prohibition by alcohol lobbyist and others because it was legal until the 1930s and even the constitution written on hemp." (candidate survey response)
"Yes I support because you need to regulate like anything like tobacco and alcohol and tax it as well. This is only the safe and responsible way to go about it but also makes it easier for others to support it if it safe and also if it produces tax revenue that fixes our roads and funds our public schools it's a no brainer to regulate it." (candidate survey response)
On expungement: "Yes I support full expungement of all non violent marijuana convictions. It is Archaic and inhumane that anyone is in jail or prison for marijuana possession. It also is messed in some states and areas child molesters get less time in prison than marijuana offenders I support full expungement and believe it is a no brainer and past time." "Yes I support decriminalization as well. It is a good starting point in anti marijuana states. Even TN won't arrest you for less than a quarter ounce. So yes we need it decriminalized first in many states than from there you can move to legalization." (candidate survey response)
"I fully support and I believe marijuana offers endless medicinal benefits. I even knew someone 20 years ago who was terminally ill and only marijuana would help. People need it for pain as alternative to pain killers, for depression, anxiety, asthma, and many other reasons it should be studied and we should let doctors prescribe it if necessary."(candidate survey response)
