A+ Dina Titus (D - NV) LEGALIZE, TAX, AND REGULATE DECRIMINALIZE MEDICAL USE

Representative Dina Titus has been an outspoken advocate for marijuana legalization. She has sponsored and voted in favor of numerous bills, and has spoken in front of committees touting the need for sensible legislation to be passed. She has even been present at events held at dispensaries in her state, and was one of the first customers at Planet 13 dispensary in Nevada.

Comments

"Great news for Nevada and the nation! Legislation just passed a key House committee to free up the banking system to work with cannabis businesses that are operating legally. I'll fight for this bill to become law." (3/28/19)

"Sean Spicer's warning that the U.S. Justice Department will step up enforcement of federal laws against the sale and use of recreational marijuana is concerning at a time when Nevada and other states are beginning to develop this industry," Rep. Titus said. "Such comments from the White House underscore the need for Congress to step up and protect the interests of the states that have chosen to regulate marijuana like alcohol. This is clearly in keeping with public sentiment nationally. I'll continue to work with my colleagues in Washington, D.C. to protect the interests of Nevadans from any targeting by the Trump Administration."
(2/2017)

I do support descheduling, but I think H.R. 1227 is not the right approach. I am a cosponsor of H.R. 1841, the Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act w/ @JaredPolis. This bill removes MJ from the schedule.
