Joe Biden has a history of supporting anti-drug, tough on crime policies as well as those that imposed punitive penalties for drug offenses and facilitated discrimnation against drug users.

Governor Noem has hostrocially opposed all efforts to leglaize marijuana in South dakota. She claims that it is a gateway drug and will lead peopele to get into "stronger drugs" She has state that when it comes to the legalization of marijuana, she will govern as the people of South Dakota vote. She claims that since the majority of South Dakotians vote in oppositon of leglaizing marijuna, she will not legalize it yet.

Senator Rounds is against the legalization of marijuana use. He beleives it is a "gateway drug" and believes South Dakota has enough of those already. He seems to have issues of morality with the drug, which are not rooted in scientific evidence.
